PD-33 – Lateral Pipe Bursting Machine
The Pow-R Mole model PD-33 pipe bursting machine is a fast and efficient pipe replacement system offering a cost-effective alternative to open trench. This machine features the longest stroke (24") of any cable bursting system on the market. Its unique non-slip, cylinder-activated jaws are designed to prevent cable damage. The PD-33 develops 60,000 lbs (30 tons) of pulling force at a rate of six feet per minute. The jaw system pulls a 7/8" pre-stretched cable that is swedged down to 3/4". The spelter end of the cable is field repairable. This system is capable of bursting cast iron, concrete, HDPE, asbestos cement, PVC, ductile iron, orangeburg, and clay pipe from 2 to 6 inches. The entire system is modular and can be disassembled into light, easily transported pieces. This modular construction enables you to access any location, even manholes.

Portable Power Unit (optional)
This hydraulic power pack is powered by a 20 HP Honda engine. The portable Pow-R Unit can be set up as a skid mount system or portable wheeled system. The power pack generates 3000 PSI @ 20 GPM.
44-4C & 44-6C Bursting Head
This compact versatile 3 in 1 bursting head is only 11" long. The blades in this head are removable, allowing you to burst with 1 blade, 3 blades or no blades. This one head can burst clay, AC, plastic, orangeburg and cast iron pipes.
Butt Fusion Machine
PE fusing machines are available from 2" and up.
PD-33 Gate Extension
This gate extension allows the bursting head to enter the pit or basement for easy detachment. The open bottom makes it possible to insert this gate before or during the burst.
